Abortion
- Legal ...
but Responsibility Discouraged

On the unique issue
of abortion, pro-life and pro-choice advocates will always disagree.
There can be no
reconciliation between the position that abortion is murder, and the
position that the government ought not have the authority and power
to tell a woman what she can do with her own peson.
So we must agree
to disagree.
Pro-life advocates
should advertise and counsel against unwanted pregnancies and abortion,
without violating the rights of others.
Pro-choice advocates
should also counsel against unwanted pregnancies. Pro-choice advocates
should also fund abortions for all. In the unique case of abortions,
the government should not fund these medical procedures - this would
force pro-life advocates to pay for such actions through their tax dollars.
All sides should
commit to help the adoption and raising of any and all children that
birth parents can not or will not care for.
Please keep in mind that no abortion policy will apply
forever.
If humanity should happen to endure a catastrophe, either
natural or man-made, that reduces our population to, say, 100 million
survivors, then abortions would be absolutely outlawed for the survival
of our species.
On the other hand, if we allow our population to grow
to 10, 11, 12 billion, than in many cases abortions may be required,
also in the interests of our entire species.
