  1. Hello Mike–I whole heartedly support your work on both Battery and Fuel Cell alternatives to OCCS. I hope your presentations were put in front of CalTrains officials. Unfortunately they have chosen to use OCCS and we will now suffer unnecessary high installation and maintenance costs for the rest of my life. I read the Brits are deploying battery EMUs.
    Same thing happened when I (and maybe others too) proposed to skip the $467 M for the now chosen FasTrac toll lanes on 101 and instead, open the lanes to use by all except when commuter traffic builds, and thru low-cost sensors, illuminate signs saying “high occupancy lane now in effect, 2 or more/car ONLY”….no response from Caltrans or from Dave Canepa bd of supers, who initially wanted options. Very disappointing.
